Aminu Ladan Sharehu

sharehuProfessor Sharehu is the Director General and Chief Executive, National Teachers Institute, Kaduna State, Nigeria. In 2014, he received the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger from the Federal Government.

He was trained as a teacher at the Teachers’ College, Zaria and further at Kafanchan College of Education. He also attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and the International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan, between 2005 and 2007. He holds the Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE), a Professional Certificate in Journalism and Advanced Certificate in Personnel Management, and the degrees of BA(Ed) with specialization in English Literature, MEd (Educational Administration and Planning) and PhD (Administration and Planning).

He has spent several decades in strategic positions in the fields of education, administration and planning, and has published several articles in the journal “Readings in Applied Psychology” (Kano Bayero University). He has participated in international conferences. In 2000 he received the award of Best Civil Servant of the year from NANS. He has received numerous certificates of honour and awards including the Gold Award of lifetime achievement from “Africa Week”.

Mallam (Dr) Aminu Ladan Sharehu comes from a family of renowned Islamic scholars and traditional leaders and has authored several books and articles on Islamic law. He is happily married with children.
