Sunday Menyaga Ichado

ichadoProfessor Sunday Menyaga Ichado is an educationalist and administrator with over 35 years of experience. He was educated at the Government Teaching College, Anyigba (Grade II certificate, 1976). In 1980 he obtained his National Certificate of Education (NCE) and proceeded to the University of Benin in 1983 for a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. In 1988 he was awarded a Master’s Degree in Education, a post-graduate award in Theology in 2001 and finally a PhD in Educational Management in 2007.

Professor Ichado began his academic career as a lecturer in 1983 and has also served in capacities including member of Academic Board, assistant examination officer, research fellow and Deputy Provost. He has contributed to development programmes at the University of Ogun State, Ago-Iwoye, the Institute of Education Sandwich Programme, University of Abuja, etc. At present he is a chief lecturer in the Federal College of Technology Abuja, Nigeria.

He has lectured in public and appeared at conferences as a speaker. He has authored several journal articles and books and has undertaken academic project supervision since 2005.

He is a member of professional bodies including the Institute of Personnel Management, the Nigeria Institute of Management and the Philosophical Association of Nigeria. He has also served the community through his membership of the Police Relations Committee and the Red Cross Society of Nigeria.

He is happily married with six children.
