Ordinance B: The Seal of the University

I. The Court has custody and use of the Common Seal of the University and shall entrust the Seal to the safekeeping of the Chancellor.

II. Should the Chancellor be absent or incapacitated for a period greater than three weeks, or depute accordingly in the event that such is desirable, the custody of the Seal shall be held by the Pro-Chancellor.

III. Every instrument to which the Seal shall be fixed shall be sealed by the Chancellor, or such other person who in accordance with paragraph II has custody of the Seal.

IV. The Court may determine arrangements for the sealing of any instrument different from those set out in paragraphs I and II above.  Should the Court so determine, it shall cause to have these arrangements incorporated into the Minutes of its meeting.
